As part of being a medical cannabis user you continue to be able to register with Health Canada as a patient to grow your own or dedicate someone to grow for you.

Benefits and improvements are as follow :

  • medical cannabis plants can be cultivated base on the amount of the grams that are prescribed, as recreational user you can only have a maximum of 4 plants per household only in certain provinces

  • Cannabis can be stored in higher amounts depending on your medical prescription

  • Instead of being the day the medical document signed by the health care provider, the day the registered document is issued is the effected day that you can start growing.

  • Until a renewal decision in made the registration remains valid, if Health Canada has a renewal application before your certificate expires.
